J & J Carter Awarded Best Tensile Fabric Structures Design Specialists

J & J Carter are delighted to announce that we have been nominated “Best Tensile Fabric Structures Design Specialists – South England” and the “Best Hampshire Leisure Project” in the Architecture Awards 2017 for our recent refurbishment of the Herne Hill Velodrome.                                                       

Now in its third year, the Architecture Awards recognise innovative and imaginative design -with projects creating talking points that will span generations.

The Winning Project – refurbishment of Herne Hill Velodrome

J & J Carter were appointed to work with Hopkins Architects to produce the tensile fabric covered bicycle park for Herne Hill Velodrome. It was chosen to upcycle used shipping containers to provide the secure storage cyclists require.
