Butlin's Skegness

J & J Carter were asked to manufacture canopies and the steelwork to cover the drive-through entrance kiosks of the Butlin's holiday park.

The canopy we created was a one piece triple conic that covers 185m2 complete with controlled rain water drainage. The factory fitted drainage system diverted excess rain water onto nearby plants, instead of visitors cars.

As Butlin's is at a seaside location, the steel frame was hot dip galvanised for corrosion protection. It was then painted for an architectural finish.

Situated on the Lincolnshire coast, within easy reach of the Midlands and northern regions, Butlin's in Skegness was the first ever Butlin’s to open in 1936. This unique venue include state-of-the-art conference facilities and are available for exclusive hire and an extensive range of indoor and outdoor activities.
