Lead times fluctuate throughout the year in response to demand. During peak periods from Easter to August, the production of standard items usually takes 6 to 8 weeks. For items that require design work, the lead time may be extended.
The installation time can vary hugely depending on the structure size, shape, complexity and location. Smaller structures can be installed in a few hours, while larger ones may take a day or more.
Regular cleaning with mild detergents and water, along with periodic inspections for wear and tear, is recommended. It's also essential to follow our manufacturer maintenance guidelines.
The lifespan of a tensile fabric structure can vary depending on several factors, including the choice of materials, design, environmental conditions, and maintenance. If maintained and looked after, tensile fabric event structures can have a lifespan of 15 to 20 years or even longer
At J & J Carter, we only use premium-grade materials for our projects. Our standard event structure grade PVC is produced by Verseidag DURASKIN. This is a 650gsm white translucent PVC. The material is flame retardant to B.S 7837 (EN 13501 B-s2 d0). The material is also a Low-Wick product which means it has had additional treatment to aid prevention of mildew. Our DURASKIN Tent PVC comes with a 3-year Warranty. Please note that NO-Wick does not exist. Any PVC can Wick if it is not looked after. We have access to a variety of materials from various suppliers such as Verseidag, Serge Ferrari, Dickson Saint Clair, Mehler, Heytex, and Sattler to name a few. Our structural frames are made from high grade aluminium alloys which are extruded in the U.K with connections produced from S355 grade mild steel.
LINKAll our event structures are engineered to be temporary structures. However, where there is a requirement for a permanent installation at a venue, we will undertake a site specific structural engineering calculation. This will determine if any particular strengthening is required to the standard event structure to meet building code. We recommend for permanent installations that the structure is installed with our Insulated cladding system.
