As we evaluate the year, 2023 stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of innovation and resilience at J & J Carter, where each moment makes another stride toward excellence in tensile fabric structures.
Join us in revisiting the highlights of our endeavours, where creativity craftsmanship, and vision merged with reality in a year that unfolded as a canvas of innovations for J & J Carter.
At the start of 2023, J & J Carter was commissioned to assist with the refurbishment of the Dukes Box at the beautiful racecourse of Goodwood. The refurbishment we performed on this iconic structure consisted of remaking the awnings and soffits to ensure its longevity and continued grandeur. Collaborating seamlessly with a diverse array of trades, we streamlined the entire journey from order placement to project completion within a swift 8-week timeframe, perfectly aligning with the season opener scheduled for May 6th. Dive deeper into the intricacies of this remarkable Goodwood refurbishment.
At J&J Carter we ensure lasting excellence by offering specialised annual maintenance for our impeccable tensile fabric structures, making sure we preserve their brilliance year after year. Two projects that we continue to work on are Sunderland AFC’s Beacon of Light and the marquee facility at the Mill House Hotel.
In our pursuit of sustaining brilliance, the Beacon of Light remains a shining example of innovative architecture. Our annual commitment to careful maintenance is a tribute to our dedication to our aftercare excellence, ensuring that this shining example of innovative architecture remains a beacon of its own.
The Mill House Hotel saw an uplift in hospitality through a continuous dedication to meticulous maintenance. By preserving the charm and comfort of this establishment, our commitment to the hospitality sector remains steadfast, creating an environment where guests can truly feel at home.
This year marked a refreshing update to the Tingdene Marina Boat Show Event Structure. The structure required easy relocation and seamless storage when not in use, while prioritising quality and robustness, essential for its frequent use at diverse boat shows and county events, often amidst unpredictable weather conditions.
We revamped the branded covers we provided to Tigndene Marina to seamlessly blend modern aesthetics with the timeless allure of maritime events.
This year saw a new product line from J & J Carter. Step into the forefront of event space innovation with our Geodesic Dome Covers. Our expertise extends beyond mere design and manufacturing; we pioneer bespoke solutions and replacement covers tailored specifically for geodomes.
Commissioned by a private client, these Geodome Covers were created for an incredibly important event – our client's wedding day. Standing proudly on top of a beautiful Devon hillside, this beautiful geodesic dome is modelling a membrane created from Ferrari Flexlight Lodge Textured PVC.
As we turn our gaze towards the future, J & J Carter is thrilled to embark on new ventures and opportunities.
Building on our successful tensile architecture projects, we are excited about the upcoming expansion of Threaplands Garden Centre. Stay tuned for more updates on how we continue to cultivate growth in this thriving space.
